Make your answers understandable
AI-assisted search changes how some people encounter information, but the practical starting point is still a useful website. Answer real questions about the practice's services, location, appointment process and contact options in visible text.
Use specific, verified facts rather than repeated promotional language. Identify who reviewed clinical information. Separate general education from medical advice and avoid creating pages solely to target slight keyword variations.
- Write concise answers followed by useful context.
- Make practitioner and practice information accurate.
- Give important pages descriptive internal links.
Keep pages accessible to people and crawlers
Check that important pages load, are internally linked and are not accidentally blocked from indexing. Use semantic headings and text that remains available without a complicated interaction. Structured data should describe the visible page accurately, never add hidden claims.
Google's guidance says there are no additional technical requirements or special optimizations required for its AI features beyond search fundamentals. That is not a promise that a page will be indexed, cited or shown.
- Review indexing settings and canonical URLs.
- Validate structured data against the actual visible content.
- Avoid ‘AI ranking’ packages that promise guaranteed placement.
Treat visibility checks as observations, not guarantees
An answer can change with the query, system, location and time. Keep a record of what you checked rather than turning a single screenshot into a claim of permanent visibility.
Evaluate qualified inquiries and confirmed appointments through your own records, alongside search data where available. Do not attribute revenue to an AI mention without evidence connecting the actual journey.
- Record the exact query and date when reviewing an answer.
- Separate observed mentions from referral traffic and conversions.
- Revisit platform guidance as products and policies change.
