Answer the questions customers actually ask
People increasingly ask search tools full questions, such as what to do about water or structural damage that needs to be assessed quickly or what goes into a kitchen remodel, bathroom remodel, addition or ADU. The practical starting point is still a useful website that answers those questions in visible text.
Use specific, verified facts about your services, service area, hours and consultations, design steps, written estimates, permits and change orders. Repeated promotional language says little; clear explanations say more.
- List the ten questions your office hears most.
- Answer them on relevant pages in plain language.
- Keep facts current when hours or services change.
Keep pages accessible to people and crawlers
Make sure important pages load quickly, are linked from your navigation and are not blocked from indexing. Use clear headings and keep key information in text rather than only inside images or videos.
Google says there are no special optimizations required for its AI features beyond normal search fundamentals. Structured data should describe only what is visible on the page.
- Check indexing settings on core pages.
- Put key facts in text, not only in images.
- Avoid any package promising guaranteed AI placement.
Treat visibility checks as observations
AI answers change with the query, location and time. Record what you checked and when rather than treating one screenshot as permanent proof.
Judge results by your own records—qualified calls, booked visits and completed jobs—alongside search data where available.
- Log visibility checks with dates.
- Measure booked jobs, not just mentions.
- Review results quarterly with your team.
