Case Study

Stroll Guam × AdResst

Smart Rideshare Advertising Network

AdResst built and deployed a smart-display advertising network across 38 rideshare vehicles in partnership with Stroll Guam. Ultra HD digital displays were mounted behind vehicle headrests, creating a direct advertising environment between the rider and the brand.

Unlike conventional digital advertising where consumers can scroll past, skip, close, mute, or immediately leave an advertisement, the AdResst experience placed campaign content directly in front of an individual passenger during the duration of their ride. Each advertiser could incorporate a trackable QR code, promotional offer, discount code, landing page, or other direct-response mechanism, allowing campaign engagement and customer action to be attributed back to the in-vehicle advertisement.

First-Person Data

A Direct, Measurable Advertising Environment

AdResst coined its operating approach "First-Person Data" to describe the uniquely direct relationship created between a rider, a dedicated screen and a measurable advertiser action.

Rather than competing for attention inside a social feed, search result or crowded webpage, an AdResst campaign was presented directly to the passenger during the rideshare experience.

    Trackable Customer Action

"First-Person Data" is AdResst Media's terminology for its direct rider-to-screen advertising and attribution model. It should not be presented as a replacement term for the advertising industry's established definition of first-party data.

Why the Model Worked

01

Controlled attention environment

The advertisement occupied a dedicated screen positioned directly within the passenger's field of view rather than competing inside a crowded content feed.

02

Non-skippable presentation

Campaign content remained part of the rideshare environment rather than relying on a consumer voluntarily stopping their scroll or clicking an advertisement.

03

Direct response

QR codes and advertiser-specific promotional offers created an immediate bridge between viewing the advertisement and taking action.

04

Attributable performance

Campaign-specific QR destinations and promotional codes gave advertisers a method of connecting customer activity back to the AdResst placement.
